Timbuk2 is taking advantage of San Francisco’s annual PARK(ing) day to create a cool green space just outside of our Hayes Valley store for YOU to play in. Come and join us for a little Vitamin D and bring a beat up old bag. Yes that’s right – we want to recycle your old bag and give you 20% off any brand new Timbuk2 bag! Then we’re going to breathe new life into your old bag by either turning it into an awesome planter bag (see photo below), or donating it to At the Crossroads. More bags means more plants so recycle yours tomorrow! Fabulous Customer Service hero Megan has kindly donated a bunch of succulents for us to plant – thanks Megan. But that’s not all. Enroll in a raffle to win a planter bag to take home. Come drink some lemonade with us or bring meat to BBQ on our grill. We’ll have some Hebrew National Hotdogs, but get ‘em while they’re hot(dog). Timbuk2 staff will be on hand lounging in lawn chairs, playing silly board games, and just enjoying our green space. Bike tune up guy Jordan will be there to fix a flat and fire master Tim will be manning the grill. See you there!
PARK(ing) Day is an annual global event during which individuals and groups transform parking spaces and lots into green space for city dwellers to socialize and change the world. Thank you to REBAR for inventing this awesome day for us to celebrate!
