T is for Toronto

Hold onto your maple syrup, poutine, Muskoka chairs, Steam Whistle beer, toques & toboggans, the newest Timbuk2 Store is now open in Toronto, Canada! Yes, oh yes, it’s true we’ve launched our first Canadian flagship location in the epicenter of fashion, entertainment and urban life in Toronto: Queen Street West.

Have you seen this outside our new digs at 359 Queen St West?

The shop features 100% of the bags you see on Timbuk2.com (say buh bye to US to Canadian shipping fees and custom charges) PLUS a year round in-store custom bag building workshop for you to design your own bags. Srsly, there’s over 50 fabrics to choose from including Cordura, waxed canvas, incognito reflective, wool and more, and you can customize almost every aspect of the bag from binding to thread color. In the workshop, you’re able to see all the fabrics and materials in real life, mock it up on a giant touch screen, and get help from our local team, if you’re looking for an opinion that is.

After a year of searching for the perfect spot for our Canadian debut, we could not be MORE thrilled to land in this awesome community at 359 Queen Street West (between Spadina & Peter) among some of the cities raddest locally grown neighbors like the legendary venue Rivoli, insane denim at Show Room, Trinity Bellwood Park, the one and only MuchMusic & City TV HQ plus the under the radar caffeine hole-in-the-wall Little Nicky’s, just to name a few…

Canadian’s have been embracing Timbuk2 for decades now, and now it’s our turn to hug back…hard. With so many reasons to love TO: from TIFF, NXNE, Degrassi throwbacks, Bikelanes on Bloor, volleyball courts at The Beaches, Tour de Dufflet, Steam Whistle brews, world class hockey, soccer, baseball in our own backyard, Toronto continues to surprise and delight locals and visitors alike.

Friend and partners at The Maker’s Nation, based in Toronto, customized their own Made-in-America small classic messenger and snapped this showstopper

If you’re in Toronto or GTA, know someone who is, keep yourself tuned in and turned onto the Toronto store’s Twitter & Instagram updates on store happenings including contests, TO only prizes and products, and more. #Timbuk2takeover is coming!

Are you going to be selling the Toronto patch messenger? I want one!

    • Tony says:

      Hi Marcela:
Thanks for the question and yes we are- come on in- we have one for you.

      • Marcela says:

Thank you very much. I will be there next Monday. I am very excited to have you guys in my awesome city! I own many Timbuk2 bags and they are all excellent quality. I wish you many years of success in the big TO!

  2. Edward says:

Fantastic! I’ve been waiting for this news.
Just shipped some Timbuk2 bags from San Francisco, import charges are terrible…

  3. David P. says:

I love the bag – can you ship one to Michigan or can I order one on line and does it come in the large model – thanks -

  4. Evan Lloyd says:

Good to hear about the TO store. Even happier to see you pitched it to Canucks with a “free shipping” claim – not once but twice in the promo emails to your Canadian subscribers. Silly Canadians, of course you meat “free” for US customers only. Hello Target, welcome to Canada.

  5. Li says:

Hi, if I buy a customized or pre-made bag, it is shipped from Toronto or San Francisco? I live in Ottawa.

    • Vanessa says:

Hey Linan! To order a custom or off the shelf bag, call the Timbuk2 Toronto store, and place your order through the store. They will order it for you and ship it from the Toronto location, saving you US shipping and custom fees. Shipping anywhere in Canada is $8. (416) 979-3030 is them! All custom bags are still made in San Francisco. Thanks for your support.
