The Raider is quite possibly one of the most loved bags at the Timbuk2 office. The Industrial Designers Society of America has awarded an International Design Excellence Award (IDEA) to the Timbuk2 Mission Cycling Raider Pack, a commuter backpack developed by Timbuk2 in collaboration with San Francisco’s Mission Cycling Club. We couldn’t be more proud.
“IDSA is the voice of the industrial design profession, and to receive a Silver Award amidst competition of this caliber is an enormous honor,” said Greg Bass, Timbuk2′s director of product and design.
Made from super light and durable ripstop nylon and featuring an airmesh back panel and shoulder straps for ventilation, the Raider feels light and breezy on your back.
The Raider Pack was named after Mission Cycling’s Tuesday and Thursday morning “raids” rides to the top of the Marin Headlands before work. Among other features, the pack has a removable folding board to keep work shirts crisp and a dedicated shoe pocket to quarantine riding shoes from other gear.
It’s so lightweight you forget you’re wearing it. Get your Raider here.
